B.A of Visual Design - Bahrain Polytechnic | Rebrand

Embarking on a creative expedition we are set to breathe new life into Bahrain Polytechnic's by rebranding the Visual Design program into an imagination and aesthetics intertwine to shape a remarkable future.
The Stems

Our logo represent our distinguish students, cherishing their bold personalities traits before their outstanding practicalities skills.

It’s called The Stems because it’s a typographic term for any vertical line found in any letter. It’s a combination of 3 stems going upwards which stands for; loudness, excitement, and boldness.

The proximity between the stems are tight to create a clear visualization of bond and communication.
The individual stem begins with a curve facing the left and ends with it facing the right, which symbolize a beat going from low to high because our goal is to push students to success.
Gill Sans
Our stems are bold, tall, and has cursive ending. So we decided to use Gill Sans typeface as part of our brand due to the look of a humanist san serif fits with volumes of our stems.

Almarai
We chose Almarai typeface to be our main Arabic version typeface since it has the same boldness and curves as the English typeface. Moreover, it has the same structure of the shape of the stems too.
Primary colors
Our main brand color is orange, it represent youth, excitement, creativity, and happiness which is what we are trying convey. The second main color is white because we want to have a clean and breathable spaces. White also represent freedom, that allows the students to express themselves!

Secondary colors
Our brand is joyful and fun and we want to express that by making it colorful. So we have pop colors that are used to represent: kindness, creativity, passion, ambition, happiness, hope, new beginnings, liveliness, energy, freedom, imagionation, and intelligence. Which is inspired by our students personalities.

Pattern
Although our logo is a 3 dynamic bold lines, it’s still considered an easy visual identifier. And our brand is consistent and have a dynamic repetition, this repetition is the pattern.
The pattern is also considered to be our custom typeface because we used the visual identifier single line (the stems) in the letters’ stems and strokes. For example, in the letters B, D,W, and M.
